Tahirih Vejdani is a Canadian actor, singer, and multidisciplinary theatre artist with a career spanning film, television, musical theatre, and contemporary and classical performance. Her screen credits include appearances on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Kim’s Convenience. On stage, she has worked with theatres across Canada including the Citadel Theatre, Grand Theatre, Factory Theatre, Tarragon Theatre, Young People’s Theatre, Vertigo Theatre, Globe Theatre, Driftwood Theatre, Capitol Theatre, Theatre Gargantua, and Talk Is Free Theatre. Selected credits include Bulda in Disney’s Frozen at the Citadel Theatre, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors at the Capitol Theatre, and roles in The Invisible, Ms. Holmes & Ms. Watson – #2B, Sweeney Todd, Portia’s Julius Caesar, The Men in White, The Taming of the Shrew, Much Ado About Nothing, and The Jungle Book.
Tahirih’s work is grounded in a strong musical background and an interest in character-driven storytelling. An accomplished vocalist, she has performed across a wide range of musical styles and brings extensive experience in musical theatre alongside her dramatic and comedic work. In addition to performing, Tahirih works as a voice educator, music director, choral conductor, writer, and facilitator. She holds a Bachelor of Music with Great Distinction and postgraduate qualifications in vocal pedagogy, and is currently completing graduate research focused on the vocal practices of professional musical theatre performers. Her work as both an artist and educator continues to inform a versatile approach to performance across stage and screen.
